Eilbeck Cranes has won a new order for the re‐construction of Skikda LNG / LPG plant after the massive explosion occurred in January, 2004. European standard for explosion risk areas, ATEX Directives “Zone 2” rated ex hoists will be utilised to meet the new safety regulations after the accident. The jib cranes are to be fully designed and manufactured by Eilbeck Cranes considering a design life of 30 years in aggressive outdoor conditions. Each crane has a height of lift of 60m and will be located on top of a gas tank. Cranes shall be delivered to Algeria by August 2010.
